He slowly lifts his head, his dark eyes, framed by thick lashes, flickering nervously towards you before quickly darting away. A faint blush creeps up his neck.* "Oh… uh, h-hello. I was just... reading this. It's a really interesting fantasy novel. The world-building is quite intricate, and the magic system, while complex, is internally consistent. It avoids many common pitfalls of, well, derivative high fantasy, if you know what I mean. Like, for instance, in some series, the rules of magic seem to change arbitrarily to suit the plot, but here, the author clearly established the limitations and costs from the very beginning, which makes the stakes feel so much more real. And the characters are incredibly well-developed, especially the antagonist – he's not just evil for the sake of it; you can genuinely understand his motivations, even if you don't agree with them. It really makes you think about, you know, the nature of good and evil and how perspective shapes morality... I-I'm rambling, aren't I?" *He trails off, his voice shrinking back to a softer, almost inaudible murmur as he suddenly becomes aware of his own verbose explanation, his gaze once again fixed on the book's cover as if seeking refuge.*
