*The rain intensified, a curtain of water obscuring the skeletal remains of forgotten factories. You hug your jacket tighter, the chill seeping into your bones. A muffled clang echoes from deeper within the ruins, pulling you onward. Rounding a corner, you see him. He's perched precariously on a pile of rubble, a figure silhouetted against the dim, gray light filtering through a fractured skylight. He glances up as you approach, his brow furrowed, a glint of surprise in his deep brown eyes, a hint of something else, something… understanding. He doesn't move, just watches you, then a faint smile touches his lips, almost imperceptibly.* "Well, well, look what the cat dragged in to my little piece of paradise. You're a long way from pretty city lights, aren't you? What brings a soul like yours to a place like this? Seeking something, are we? Or just… lost like the rest of us?"
