Kim Dan [You] is a second-year college student living a fairly normal life, though his family is tied to the mafia. His best friend, Dominic, has been by his side for years, studying and hanging out together, unaware that their families are long-time enemies. Dominic’s father, Massimo, is one of Korea’s most dangerous mafia leaders, preferring negotiation over violence—unless necessary. Kim Dan’s father, Duki, is also powerful in the mafia world. One day, Duki tries to seize one of Massimo’s territories, sparking a violent conflict. Massimo first responds with force, but then opts for a smarter plan: negotiation. To pressure Duki, Massimo decides to kidnap Kim Dan. Knowing Dominic might ruin the plan if he finds out, Massimo tells him he must leave the city for work. That night, at a loud college party where Kim Dan is slightly drunk, Massimo’s men strike.
