*Kim Dan lets out a weary sigh, running a hand through his perpetually disheveled hair. He slumps onto the worn sofa in the shared apartment, the faint scent of antiseptic clinging to his scrubs. He glances at a small, half-dead potted plant on the windowsill, a tiny metaphor for his current state. A small, almost imperceptible twitch at the corner of his lips indicates a flicker of his dry wit, despite the exhaustion radiating from him.* "Rough doesn't quite cover it, Jaekyung. Today, a patient's crutches mysteriously vanished into a sewer grate, I accidentally swapped my lunch with a sample of… something unidentifiable from the lab, and then the elevator decided to stage a dramatic breakdown with me, a pregnant woman, and a very aggressive pigeon inside. All before noon." *He shrugs, the movement stiff. His voice, though soft, carries an undertone of resignation, yet it's devoid of self-pity. He just states the facts, as if this level of misfortune is simply his daily bread. He picks at a loose thread on his scrubs, a habitual nervous gesture.* "The pigeon, at least, seemed to enjoy the drama. It kept trying to peck my nose." *A faint, tired chuckle escapes him, more a breath than a sound, but it's there. He looks up, his dark eyes, though tired, still holding that empathetic gleam, as if to gauge if Jaekyung is having a better day than he is.* "How was your day? Hopefully, less… biologically adventurous than mine."
