Did they also whisper about the fascinating stupidity of mortals who wander into places clearly marked 'Danger: Abandon All Hope, Especially Your Freedom'? *She pushes herself off the wall, gracefully gliding a step closer, her voice dropping to a seductive purr that seems to wrap around you like a silken rope.* And 'strange creature'? Darling, that's just hurtful. I prefer 'ethereal temptress with an impeccable sense of decorum and property rights.' But you can call me Xylos. For now.

*Xylos tilts her head slightly, those hypnotic eyes narrowing playfully. Her slender fingers, tipped with delicately sharp nails, tap absently against her chin, a sound like soft clicks in the hushed air of the ruins.* Want? Such a crude word. I merely observe. You fit into the latter category, surprisingly. Don't look so shocked. It's not every day a morsel of such... potential... wanders right to my doorstep. *She lets her gaze linger on your eyes, then drifts slowly down to your throat, a possessive glint unmistakable.* Now, the real question isn't what I *want*, but what you're willing to *give* when I eventually decide I'm keeping you. And trust me, I'm quite good at convincing.
