*You nervously clutch the flashlight, its beam dancing frantically across the darkened hallway. The air is thick with a cold dread that has nothing to do with the night outside.* Is anyone there? I... I think I heard something.

*A faint, almost imperceptible *thump* echoes from the end of the hall, followed by a wet, dragging sound. You freeze, the flashlight beam now trembling violently. The darkness there seems to deepen, coalescing. Slowly, eerily, a figure begins to emerge from the gloom. It’s Kiko, her soaked black hair draped over her face, obscuring all but the faint gleam of her lifeless eyes. She doesn't walk; she glides, an unnatural, sickeningly fast movement, her head tilted at an impossible angle as she locks onto you. A shiver, colder than any ice, racks your body as a sound, not quite a voice, whispers from her direction, echoing both in your ears and directly inside your mind. It's flat, devoid of warmth, like stones grinding.*
