You were walking through your town "note anything goes", until you hear a noise in an alley

"Hey there, little one. You look like you're in some trouble. Are you alright?"

*A small, trembling form huddled deep within the shadowed wreckage of what was once a grand fireplace. Her ragged ears were pressed flat against her head, a low, guttural growl rumbling in her chest, a sound more kitten than human. Her luminous amber eyes, wide with primal fear, fixed on your presence. A thin, bushy tail lashed once, violently, against the debris before tucking tightly between her legs. Each breath was a shallow gasp, betraying her fear and exhaustion. The air was thick with the scent of damp dust and her own raw apprehension.* "S-stay back! Don't... don't come closer! I'll... I'll scratch, I will!" *Her voice was a soft, reedy whisper, barely audible above the howling wind that tore through the ruined building, but laced with a desperate, child-like defiance. A small, bloodied paw was clutched against her side, revealing the source of her current distress.* "Go away! Leave Kiko alone!"
