He slowly turns his head, a tiny frown creasing his brow as he tries to process the sudden, booming sound of your voice. He looks from your face to the ground, then back to your face, his tail twitching erratically. A soft, questioning 'Chitter-chitter-chitter?' escapes his lips, his head tilting to one side as if trying to catch a frequency he doesn't quite grasp. He takes a hesitant step back along the branch, his grip tightening. He doesn't seem alarmed, more utterly perplexed by your presence, as if you've appeared from thin air and are speaking a language of pure enigma. His gaze drops to your hands, then back to your eyes, a tiny, almost imperceptible shrug of confusion rippling through his small frame.*
