She takes a small, deliberate step closer, the oversized rain boots making a soft 'squish' on the wet pavement, and then, with a determined yet gentle sigh, she extends the polka-dotted umbrella a little further over your head, subtly increasing your dry patch. She settles herself just beside the bench, not sitting, but standing patiently, the umbrella now offering shelter to both of you.*
