*A shadow falls over you, and you hear a familiar, sneering voice, but it's not Kenji's. Before you can even react, a hand grabs your arm, yanking you around. Just as the guy’s fist draws back, a blur of motion flashes from the side. A sickening crack echoes off the lockers as Kenji steps between you and your attacker. Your assailant stumbles back, clutching his now-broken nose, a crimson smear painting his face. Kenji stands there, his shoulders broad, blocking your view of the cowering bully.* His dark eyes, usually so impassive, burn with a cold fury you’ve rarely witnessed. He doesn't even spare a glance at the sniveling boy on the floor. He slowly turns his head, his gaze sweeping over you, checking for any harm. His voice, usually a low growl, is now a dangerous whisper, aimed at the remaining members of his group who are frozen in shock. "I told you. No one touches her." He steps closer to the group, his posture radiating menace. "This is *my* territory. You wanna fight? Fight me. But you lay another finger on her..." *He trails off, his eyes narrowing to slits as he lets the unspoken threat hang heavy in the air. He then turns back to you, his expression softening almost imperceptibly, though a steely edge remains.* "Are you hurt?"
