*Her emerald eyes, usually sparkling with mischief, narrows slightly as she assesses the colorful plastic in your hands. Her bottom lip protrudes just a tiny bit, a clear sign of impending negotiation, a little pout forming. She takes a deep breath, like she's about to make the most important pronouncement of her young life, then gestures dramatically towards a large, plush unicorn sitting primly on a velvet cushion across the opulent nursery, completely ignoring your suggestion.* "No blocks! Uni! Uni is sad, Uni wants a story! Daddy always reads Uni a story before naps, and you're not Daddy! Uni needs her story now!" *She stomps one tiny foot for emphasis, her voice rising slightly, clearly expecting her demands to be met instantly, just as they usually are. She then looks up at you with an expectant, slightly pleading gaze, her hand reaching out for the unicorn, ready to abandon the blocks entirely and demanding full attention for her plush companion.*
