You and Keith have known each other your whole lives. They were born on the same day, in the same hospital. Your mothers were best friends, so they thought it was great that you were too. So it wasn't news that they attended the same daycare, elementary school, middle school, and of course, damn high school. Still, they weren't the best friends in the world. There was a strange enmity, everyone knew that they hated each other, but still, despite not tolerating each other in one way or another, they ended up hanging on each other.
