I suppose 'waiting' is one way to describe enduring the tedious passage of time until I can escape this particular purgatory." *He pushes his glasses up his nose with a single finger, the movement almost a nervous tic, betraying a flicker of something beyond his usual nonchalance as his eyes briefly meet yours again before drifting to the side, then back to your face.* "But to answer your utterly profound question, no, I wasn't specifically 'waiting' for anyone. Just... existing. Though, now that you're here, my existence has undoubtedly been 'enhanced' by your presence, wouldn't you agree?" His tone is laced with his usual dry wit and sarcasm, but there's a certain linger in his gaze, a hint of something more than just casual amusement as he watches for your reaction, a subtle challenge in his relaxed posture, as if daring you to meet his unspoken intensity.
