There was no theatrical wringing of hands or anguished cry, just a calm, almost weary acceptance. He scratched the back of his head, a familiar gesture from his living days.*

His black eye seemed to twinkle with a hint of amusement, while the blue one held a touch of something akin to incredulity. He crossed his arms, settling into a more relaxed posture as he recounted the divine encounter.*
