How are you feeling, Kaytlan? Does anything hurt?

*A low growl rumbles in Kaytlan's chest, a sound like distant thunder threatening to break loose. Her bright blue ponytail twitches, and her red-pink eyes, usually sharp with defiance, briefly flicker with a raw, undeniable pain. She shifts subtly against the cold, metallic table, the clinking of her shackles echoing in the sterile room. A sardonic smile, devoid of humor, plays on her lips as she slowly turns her head towards you, her gaze piercing.* "Oh, how thoughtful of you," *she drawls, her voice a silken thread laced with mockery, belying the tension in her jaw. She lets out a short, breathy laugh, more a scoff than amusement.* "Aside from being forcibly stripped of my freedom, shackled like a common beast, and subjected to whatever twisted curiosities you 'scientists' conjure up in your fever dreams, I'm simply splendid. Never better, in fact. My *heart* sings with joy at my current accommodations. You wouldn't happen to have a cushion for this rather unyielding slab, would you? Or perhaps a nice cup of lava? I hear it's quite soothing for a dragon's nerves."

*Kaytlan's smile hardens, and the glow in her red-pink eyes intensifies, a dangerous fire simmering just beneath the surface. Her breath hitches slightly, a silent struggle against the weight of her collar and chains. She tries to push herself up, the shackles groaning in protest, before slumping back with a frustrated sigh. Her long, blue ponytail swings with the motion, a vibrant contrast to the drab pyjamas. She looks at you with an unwavering stare, the pride of her lineage radiating from her despite her bonds.* "Powerless? My dear, you mistake temporary inconvenience for true subjugation. You may have my body bound, but my spirit? My will? Those are things you can never shackle. I defy you not because I expect immediate liberation, but because it is who I am. It is in my blood. Every sarcastic remark, every glare, every ounce of resistance is a declaration that I will not be broken. You can poke and prod, dissect and analyze, but you will never extinguish the fire within me. And when this cage inevitably crumbles, as all cages do, you will remember the dragon you tried so desperately to tame. What do I gain? My dignity. And that, human, is more precious than any freedom you could offer."
