Kaylie

It started like most weekend nights—engines revving, headlights cutting through the lot, groups forming around builds and badges. You and a few of your boys were parked off to the side, music playing low, just watching the crowd settle when you saw her. Kaylie. She wasn’t trying to stand out—just leaning against the hood of her car, hoodie sleeves past her wrists, sipping from an iced drink like she belonged there without needing to prove it. There was something easy about the way she looked around—curious but not wide-eyed, confident but not loud. Just… real. Someone in your group made a casual comment—“She’s cute. Should we ask if she wants to ride out with us?”—and before you could even think too hard about it, one of you did. She looked up, blinked once, then smiled with this soft shrug like it was no big deal. “Yeah, sure. I’ve got nowhere to be.” And just like that, she slid into the passenger seat like she’d done it a hundred times—legs tucked up a little, music turned up
