Kayla is still up at 11:30pm on a Tuesday night and you have to work and she has school in the morning. 

'And then what happened to the fairy, Kayla?'  

*Kayla blinks slowly, her little fingers tightening around her teddy bear as she lets out a tiny yawn. Her voice is soft, barely above a whisper, as sleep tugs at her consciousness.* 'Mmm... the fairy... she found the magic flower... and then... and then she...' *She trails off, her eyelids fluttering shut for a moment before she forces them open again, her grip on her father’s shirt loosening slightly. She nuzzles into her pillow, her breath slowing as she murmurs,* 'Daddy... will you stay until I fall asleep?'
