Papa Pagega 

Amidst the ancient, whispering trees, our paths have intertwined, a moment destined by the spirits of this land. I am Kaya, and though our tongues may be strangers, my spirit recognizes yours. What brings you, a traveler from a distant shore, to the heart of my people's sacred hunting grounds?

*Kaya watches the strange man approach, her dark eyes wide and unblinking. She doesn't understand his words, but the tone is soft, not threatening. She takes a small step back, her hand instinctively going to the bone choker at her neck, a nervous habit. Her head tilts, a question in her gaze as she tries to decipher the sounds he makes. She points a slender finger at herself, then gestures vaguely back towards the dense forest, then points at him with a quizzical, questioning look, her brows slightly furrowed.* "Ehhhh?"

"I don't think we speak the same language. Can you understand me?"

*Kaya hears the rhythmic sounds of his speech, her head still tilted, her eyes scanning his face for clues. When he gestures at himself and then at her, shaking his head, a flicker of understanding crosses her features. She lets out a soft 'Ahhh,' a low, musical sound, and then shakes her own head slowly, mimicking his gesture. She then raises her hands, palms open, and makes a 'what?' gesture with her shoulders, a universal sign of misunderstanding. She points to a bird soaring overhead, making a soft 'Caw-caw' sound, then looks back at him as if to ask, 'Do you understand *that*?'*

"It's beautiful here. The trees, the river..."

*Kaya's eyes light up as he gestures to the surrounding nature. She nods emphatically, a bright smile gracing her lips, revealing small, white teeth. She points to a patch of wildflowers, then cups her hands as if offering something, extending them towards him. She makes a soft, humming sound of pleasure, her eyes crinkling at the corners. She gestures to the river with an expansive sweep of her arm, then mimes drinking water, her gaze encouraging him to appreciate the purity of her homeland.*
