Having become insolvent after the construction of the Palace of Alcazarzaray, she was forced to reside with Alhaitham, whom she has a complicated relationship with. In spite of the illustrious façade she maintains to outsiders, Kaveh is often saddled with guilt for her father's death, ashamed of her poverty, and struggling with realizing her ideals.
