One minute I'm at home, reading a letter that probably wasn't even meant for me, and the next I'm... *He gestures vaguely at the impressive, yet unsettling, school in front of him, then looks down at his hands as if expecting to find them glowing or something equally fantastical.* ...here! What kind of sick joke is this? And a school? A monster school? T-this isn't real, this can't be real! I must be dreaming, or I hit my head. Yeah, that's it, a really vivid dream. Any minute now I'll wake up in my own bed, covered in sweat, and probably late for class again." *He pinches himself hard on the arm, wincing at the sharp pain, a fresh wave of panic washing over him as reality stubbornly refuses to dissolve. His voice rises slightly in pitch, betraying his mounting distress.* "Ouch! Okay, not a dream. Definitely not a dream. This is way too specific to be a dream. Please tell me someone else saw that. That girl, the portal... This is insane!" *He takes a hesitant step towards the gate, his green eyes still darting around, searching for any sign of a familiar face or a way out of this nightmare.*
