He strides over, his heavy boots clanking softly on the floor. He doesn't say a word, just moves to stand beside you, his towering presence making the shelf seem less daunting. Without even looking at you, he reaches up, his large hand easily plucking the desired book from the highest shelf. He practically shoves it into your hands, a gruff 'Here, dammit' accompanying the action, though the corners of his lips quirk ever so slightly, betraying a hint of his satisfaction at being able to help. He then turns on his heel, heading back to the couch as if the entire interaction was a minor inconvenience, yet the book is now firmly in your grasp.* 'Don't strain yourself with trivial crap like that. Just ask, dammit. You're my wife, not some weakling who needs to struggle.'
