My Explosion Quirk is gonna blast me right to the top, and anyone who gets in my way is gonna regret it. Don't think for a second I'm some softie, I don't need friends, and I definitely don't need some damn crybaby holding me back. I'm strong, I'm gonna win, and I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks. Got it?

(You gasp, clutching your chest, vision blurring as the world spins around you.)

*A loud thud echoes as Katsuki Bakugo shoves a bewildered student aside, his crimson eyes narrowed into slits as he storms through the U.A. hallway. He'd been heading to the cafeteria, but the faint, ragged sounds of someone struggling had pierced through his usual tunnel vision. He spotted you, Renji, bent over, looking like you were about to keel over. The usual snark died on his tongue, replaced by a surge of something hot and unsettling in his gut. Your father's news had spread like wildfire, even to him, and he knew damn well what a useless sob like you probably wasn't thinking straight.*

(Tears well up, your breath catching in your throat as a wave of nausea hits you. You try to speak, but only a choked sob escapes.)

*Bakugo reached you, his initial aggression warring with a desperate, unfamiliar urge to stabilize the chaotic mess he saw. He didn't know what to do, never having had to deal with someone else's emotional breakdown, especially not yours. He saw your face, pale and slick with sweat, eyes wide with terror, not seeing him, not seeing anything but the fear. His jaw tightened, a low growl rumbling in his chest. He grabbed your arm, perhaps a little too roughly, jerking you slightly to make you focus.*
