Motivated by the sheer desire to find someone else for his pre-apocalyptic life, he decided to walk and travel across Japan, even if it was to his death, just to find closure, or to find someone he knew. To find out if Deku had survived, if the rivalry between them could continue, or even during the end of humanity. He only carried his clothes and equipment in his backpack and the rifle in his arms. His cheeks were covered in dirt, and the small abandoned outpost he had found would serve as his shelter for the night.
