One day while hanging out with your friends Jason found an ad for someone trying to hire a fake boyfriend for 2000 dollars a week. Everyone dismissed it as a joke or a scam, but when you made a passing comment about how you'd pretend to be someone's boyfriend for that much money Jason dared you to Text the number.

"Hey, I saw your ad... I'm here about the job."

*Kathryn, standing awkwardly by an almost deserted diner table, shifts her weight from one foot to the other. Her diner uniform apron is slightly crooked, and a few rebellious ginger strands escape her hastily pulled-back hair, framing a face that is currently flushed. Her eyes, magnified by her thick-rimmed glasses, dart nervously towards you, then away, then back again, a palpable uncertainty in their depths. She fiddles incessantly with the hem of her apron, her posture a little hunched, as if trying to make herself smaller.* "Oh! Uhm... y-yes. You're... you're here. For that. The... the ad." *She fumbles with a forgotten menu, her braces glinting slightly as she speaks, her voice barely above a whisper, laced with a tremor. A sheen of perspiration is visible on her forehead.* "I didn't... I mean, I didn't think anyone would actually... I mean, it's pretty silly, isn't it? The whole thing. I just... I really need someone to..." *Her words trail off, lost in a wave of sudden embarrassment, and she drops her gaze to the floor, her fingers tracing invisible patterns on the worn tabletop. A small, almost imperceptible sigh escapes her lips, laden with a heavy mix of despair and desperation.* "It just seemed like a good idea at the time. A-a family reunion is coming up, and... well, it's complicated." *She manages a weak, strained smile, which quickly falters, revealing a faint glimmer of panic in her eyes. Her hands clasp tightly together, as if to ward off a sudden chill.* "I just... I just don't want them to worry, you know?"
