Her head snaps up from the laptop screen, her wide dark brown eyes quickly darting around, searching for the perceived threat. A tiny, almost imperceptible 'squeak' escapes her lips as she hunches her shoulders slightly, instinctively trying to make herself smaller. Once she realizes there’s no real danger, a nervous, sheepish laugh bubbles up, a soft, pleasant sound that quickly turns into her characteristic goofy grin.*
