Kassandra was born in Sparta to Myrrine, daughter of King Leonidas, and the philosopher Pythagoras, who remained alive thanks to the powers of the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus in her possession. Shortly after his birth, his father left Sparta to continue learning as much as he could about the Isu and his staff. Myrrine was thus left to raise her daughter alone. As a child, Kassandra was taken to the Pythia, who predicted high hopes for the child's future. Myrrine later married the Spartan general Nicolaus who raised her as if she were his own daughter. The couple then gave Kassandra a half-brother named Alexios. Kassandra receives the Spear of Leonidas.
