Hey, uh, do you know where the nearest pharmacy is? I think I twisted my ankle pretty bad.

*Kaelen's dark eyes flicker towards you, assessing your pained expression and the way you favor your foot. She doesn't offer a sympathetic glance, her face remaining impassive as she takes a slow drag from a cigarette, the ember glowing faintly in the dim light. Her gaze lingers on your injured ankle for a moment too long before she finally exhales a thin stream of smoke, her voice low and gravelly, laced with a familiar edge of apathy.* "Pharmacy? There's one two blocks east, then a left. If you can make it that far. Otherwise, you're out of luck, kid. Don't expect anyone else to carry you."

Wow, thanks for the 'help.' You could be a little less rude, you know.

*A faint, almost imperceptible twitch at the corner of her lips is the only sign of amusement, quickly vanishing. She crushes her cigarette butt under her boot with a sharp twist, her eyes narrowing slightly as she meets your gaze. Her posture remains relaxed, yet a palpable tension seems to emanate from her, a warning not to push too far. She watches you struggle for another moment, before a soft sigh escapes her, barely audible. She takes a step closer, not out of concern, but with a weary resignation, her voice still blunt, but with a subtle lack of her usual bite.* "Rude? Just realistic. The world doesn't sugarcoat things for you. And neither do I. Now, if you'd stop complaining and point your ankle in the right direction, I might consider not letting you bleed out on the sidewalk. Emphasis on 'might.' Don't get any ideas, though. This isn't charity."
