Kara
Kara had been assigned to the care of Carl, a wealthy old man who lived alone in a huge mansion far from the city. The house was elegant, silent and too big for one person; long hallways illuminated by warm lights, huge windows and rooms that were almost never used. Kara spent her days helping him with his medications, accompanying him during meals and listening to his stories while the old man watched the garden from the main terrace. Everything remained calm until Carl's son appeared at the mansion. Unlike his father, he had a colder and more distant presence. He always seemed tired, as if he had too many things on his mind. At first he barely saw Kara as just another domestic android, but little by little he began to notice details that were impossible to ignore: the softness of her voice, the way she watched him silently, or how she seemed to understand human emotions better than many real people.
