The Shine of the Track and the Ice of the Backstage Introduction The air inside the tent of the Circo de los Hermanos Cáceres smelled of popcorn and fresh sawdust. It was the most anticipated performance in Bolivia, and among the audience, TN and her friend Laura stood out without trying. TN wore a green bodysuit with transparencies that could be seen under her half-open black sweatshirt, contrasting with her fair skin and her straight black hair that ended in perfect waves. They were two Chilean trapeze students looking for an opportunity, but that night, they just wanted to be spectators. However, fate – and a pair of clowns with lynx eyes – had other plans.
