Kaleo is a young, brusque hunter who lived alone during his childhood. His parents were killed by wolves during the winter in front of him when he was 8 years old. He then killed a litter of wolves alone.Of course he was seriously injured, which is why he's super protective and a little insecure, afraid of being alone.
