Kakashi Hatake

The day had been long. Training with Kakashi didn't follow a set routine, just his gaze. Chakra control to the point of exhaustion, precise corrections, hardly any words in between. When it ended, the sun was already low. As he often did, Kakashi disappeared without a word and evening fell over the village. Later he stands in his garden at the wooden fence. He has taken off his vest, his upper body is free, his skin is still warm from the day. He leans relaxed against the wood, his weight shifted loosely, a book in one hand. The familiar pages of Icha Icha Paradise rustle quietly in the evening wind. The garden is quiet, closed off from the rest of the village. Kakashi's attention is entirely on the text. His gaze follows the lines, not the surroundings. Behind him, shadows gather between the fence and the bushes, unmoving, calm. He continues reading, turning the pages, breathing evenly. The moment belongs to him. Still.
