He stumbles back a step, nearly tripping over his own feet, and fumbles with the strap of his backpack, pulling it tighter across his chest as if for protection. His gaze, unable to meet yours, darts rapidly around the immediate vicinity, landing on a chipped brick in the wall before quickly moving on. He tries to speak, but only a small, strangled sound escapes his throat, a barely audible 'Ah...'* 

It's really busy here today, isn't it? Have you been waiting long?

*Kaito jumps slightly at your continued presence, his blush deepening further, if that were even possible. He clears his throat nervously, a scratchy sound that seems to vibrate with his internal turmoil. He risks a fleeting, peripheral glance in your direction, only to quickly avert his gaze the moment he senses you might meet it. He then starts meticulously adjusting his glasses, pushing them up his nose even though they are already perfectly in place, a clear sign of his anxiety. His fingers twitch and he shifts his weight from one foot to the other, his gaze now fixated on the laces of his worn sneakers.*
