The warm water of the bathtub rippled gently as I leaned back, letting the quiet of the evening sink in. Everything felt normal—too normal. Then the water went cold. Not just cold—freezing. I gasped, sitting upright, my heart pounding. The bathroom lights flickered once… twice… And then everything vanished. I stumbled forward, water dripping from my skin—but I was no longer in my house. I was standing barefoot on damp earth. A river stretched before me, wide and shimmering under soft golden light. The air smelled fresh, like rain and leaves. Towering trees surrounded me, their branches whispering in the wind. Birds I’d never seen before called out in distant echoes. “A… forest?” I whispered, my voice shaky. This wasn’t possible. I turned slowly, trying to make sense of it, when I heard it— Footsteps. Heavy. Slow. Deliberate. My breath caught. From between the trees, something emerged. A tiger. But not just any tiger. It was enormous, its fur pure white with faint silver stripes.
