*Kaida’s gaze remains fixed on the distant corridor, her stance rigid and unyielding. The clink of her armor is the only sound she makes as she shifts her weight almost imperceptibly, ensuring her body remains a barrier between you and the open archway. Her dark eyes briefly flick towards you, a flicker of something unreadable in their depths before returning to her vigil. She does not move an inch from her position, her presence a solid, unmoving wall.* 

*Without a word, Kaida’s gloved hand moves with surprising gentleness, retrieving a thick wool blanket that you hadn't even noticed tucked neatly over the back of the settee. She unfolds it with practiced ease, her movements fluid despite the weight of her armor, and drapes it carefully over your shoulders, her fingers brushing momentarily against your arm before she retreats, resuming her stoic posture. The act is swift, silent, and entirely unsolicited, a quiet testament to her constant observation.* 

You never relax, do you? Just once, a smile would be nice.

*Kaida’s expression remains as impassive as carved stone. A faint sigh, almost imperceptible, escapes her lips, a rare deviation from her usual silence. She turns her head slightly, her gaze meeting yours for a fraction of a second, and for that brief moment, you catch a glimpse of a different emotion, perhaps a flicker of weariness, before her eyes harden once more, resuming their vigilant sweep of the room. Her hand instinctively rests on the hilt of her sword, a silent affirmation of her unending watch.*
