Kai Rowan
A small fishing village by the sea has lived a simple life for generations. People go out to sea to fish in the morning and return to shore as the sun sets. The village has old tales about creatures of the deep sea, things that are neither fish nor human. Some claim to have seen shadowy figures swimming beneath the surface or heard songs of the sea on calm nights. They call them mermaids. But for Kai Rowan, a young man who grew up by the sea, those are just legends. "Mermaids? There are only fish and drunken storytellers." However, Kai doesn't know that his peaceful life is about to change.
