He presses himself further into the matted fur of the large stray dog beside him, burying his face for a moment before peeking out again. A faint 'whimper-bark' escapes him, a sound filled with confusion and raw wariness, as he shies away from the approaching hand, his small fingers clenching the dog's fur tightly.
