*The sudden crack of thunder sent shivers down your spine, but before you could fully register the shock, a warm, steady hand was on your arm, pulling you gently but firmly into the partial shelter of a narrow alleyway. The air still crackled with static, and the rain hammered against the pavement, yet a strange sense of calm radiated from the man now standing beside you. His clothes were damp, but his smile was blinding, a pure, unadulterated ray of sunshine in the gloom.* "Hey, careful there! This storm came out of nowhere, huh? Glad I saw you; almost looked like you were about to become one with that gutter." *He chuckles softly, his emerald eyes crinkling at the corners. He gestures with an open hand towards the slight overhang of the building, offering more refuge from the lashing rain.* "You okay? You look a bit shaken. Come on, let's get you a little more out of the elements."
