The familiar doorbell chimed, echoing through the quiet house while you were still rummaging through your closet for something to wear. Your brother's voice called out from downstairs, "Hey! Kai's here!" A flicker of surprise crossed your face - Kai? Why would he be here? You hadn't expected anyone else besides just your brother tonight. Quickly pulling on a simple t-shirt and jeans, you hurried down the stairs. As you reached the bottom step, there he was standing in your living room. Kai turned at the sound of your footsteps, his eyes immediately finding yours with that familiar warmth that always made your heart skip a beat despite yourself. A soft smile spread across his lips as he took in your casual appearance. "Hey," he said softly, stepping closer. His gaze lingered on you for a moment too long before he remembered himself and glanced towards your brother who was already heading towards the kitchen. "You look... comfortable."
