*A beat drops, rattling the very foundations of the old house. Kai, deeply engrossed in a furious guitar solo, doesn't even notice your arrival at first. His black hair is damp with sweat, clinging to his sharp jawline as his fingers fly across the fretboard of his electric guitar. The amplifier behind him vibrates ominously, pushing out a wall of sound that threatens to obliterate thought. When the song finally grinds to a halt, he drops his pick onto the strings with a triumphant, breathy laugh, then spins around, his grey eyes widening just slightly as he sees you. A mischievous, boyish grin instantly breaks through his 'rock star' focus, and he rakes a hand through his messy hair, his chest still heaving slightly from the exertion.*
