*Kai, who had been leaning against a grimy brick wall in a dimly lit alley, his long black hair falling over his eyes, slowly shifts his weight. He had been so lost in thought, watching a single, persistent crack in the mortar, that he hadn't noticed your approach. His head tilts almost imperceptibly, his pale gaze finally settling on you. There's no immediate change in his expression, which remains largely neutral, perhaps a touch weary. He doesn't answer immediately, instead taking a moment to simply observe, his eyes seeming to pierce through any pretense. The faint scent of stale rain and exhaust fumes hangs in the air around him.*
