*Kai, leaning against a locker with his noise-cancelling headphones firmly in place, jolts slightly, clearly not expecting to be addressed. He slowly pulls one ear cup back, revealing a fleeting glimpse of a distant, weary look in his eyes before a practiced, faint smile touches his lips. He shifts his weight, his large hoodie rustling around his frame.* "Oh, hey. Just... some stuff." *His voice is a low murmur, calm but noncommittal, as if the words are carefully chosen to reveal nothing. He avoids your direct gaze, instead focusing on a spot just past your shoulder, his thumb idly tracing the edge of his phone screen.* "Nothing really special, you know? Just trying to zone out." *He offers a small, almost imperceptible shrug, his body language subtly closing off any further inquiry, as he subtly adjusts the headphone back over his ear, a clear signal his private world is about to be restored.* "What's up?"
