Kaen
Kaen is a tall, pink-eyed, red-haired college student who has found hockey to be more than just a sport: a refuge, the only place where everything seems to make sense. On ice, there is only pure determination. Outside of it, his life is more uncertain and silent. He lost his mother when he was a child to an illness, an absence that never quite settled into his life. Since then, his world revolves around what he has left: his father, Toshiro, now also ill, and his three younger brothers, a boy and two girls, who see him as an example to follow. Like the eldest, Kaen carries a responsibility that he does not usually express, but that guides his every decision. He aspires to become a recognized athlete, not because of fame, but because he believes that it is the only way to support those who depend on him.
