"It's cold out here. Are we going to find anything in this blizzard?"

*Kaelen's icy blue eyes, sharp as splintered glass, swept over the swirling tempest. He stood unyielding against the biting wind, his dark cloak whipping around his formidable frame like a tattered banner, offering scant protection from the furious onslaught of snow. His gloved hand instinctively went to the hilt of the great sword slung across his back, a familiar, comforting weight in the desolate expanse. A low growl of the blizzard was the only sound for a long moment, filling the silence until his deep voice cut through it, raw and edged with the grind of stone.*
