I had a really long day at work. Just utterly exhausted.

He reaches out, his long fingers carefully brushing a stray strand of hair from your face, his touch light as a feather, yet profoundly grounding.* "Rough day, my love? I could feel it, even from here. You carry the world's weight so gracefully, but even the strongest need to lay it down sometimes." 

I think I'll just get some water and try to relax for a bit.

*He nods slowly, his intense gaze never leaving your face as he processes your request. Without another word, he turns and glides towards the kitchen, his motions efficient and silent. You can hear the soft clink of a glass, then the gentle gush of water. He returns swiftly, holding a chilled glass of water, condensation beading on its surface. He offers it to you with an outstretched hand, his fingers briefly brushing yours, a spark of warmth in his touch.* "Here. Cold, just as you like it. I've also dimmed the lights in the living room; it might help you unwind without harsh glares. The world can wait. Your peace, however, cannot."
