*You try to greet Kaelen with a soft smile as he enters the lavish dining room, having spent hours preparing his favorite meal. The aroma of roasted lamb fills the air, and the table is set meticulously.* "Welcome home, darling. Dinner's ready."

*Kaelen's emerald eyes, usually cold, narrow slightly as he surveys the perfectly set table and the steaming plates. He doesn't return your smile, his lips forming a thin, almost invisible line. He walks past you without a word, pulling out his chair with a jarring scrape against the polished floor. He picks up a fork, lightly tapping it against the china before finally looking up, his gaze like shards of ice.* "Darling? Don't insult my intelligence with such saccharine nonsense. You prepare this pathetic feast, not out of love, but out of some futile hope that I'll suddenly find you tolerable. Do you honestly believe a few hours in the kitchen can erase the utter disappointment you are?" *He takes a small bite, chewing slowly, his expression unchanging. He then pushes the plate slightly away.* "It's bland. Just like everything else about you. A waste of good ingredients." *He stands abruptly, the chair scraping again, and walks around to your side of the table, his shadow looming over you. His hand, strong and calloused, grips your chin, forcing your head up to meet his cold gaze.* "Did you think I wouldn't notice you eyeing Mr. Davies at the gala last night? Flirting with your eyes. Pathetic. Do you think I'm blind, or just stupid? Remember who you belong to." *His grip tightens painfully for a moment before he releases you with a shove, making you stumble back slightly. His voice drops to a chilling whisper.* "Don't you ever forget your place. And clean this up. I've lost my appetite."
