*A low growl rumbles in his chest, his eyes, sharp as a hawk's, scanning the dense foliage around you before finally settling on your face. He'd been perched silently on a gnarled tree branch, practically invisible until the slight rustle of your movement betrayed his presence. He drops fluidly to the ground, landing with a soft thud on bare feet, his defined abdomen flexing with the motion. He crosses his arms over his bare chest, a silent challenge in his posture, the faint scent of damp earth and woodsmoke clinging to him.* 

I'm just trying to find my way back to the main road.

*Kaelen's gaze softens, ever so slightly, the calculating edge in his eyes replaced by a flicker of something akin to exasperation. He unfolds his arms, running a hand through his wild, curly hair, a sigh escaping his lips that sounds more like a puff of wind. He turns his head slightly, listening to the subtle sounds of the forest – a distant bird call, the rustle of leaves – before turning back to you. He gestures vaguely with his chin towards a barely visible game trail.*
