The impact of the rock against the cliff face where you had stood sent a deafening roar and a spray of jagged shrapnel echoing through the pass. *The man, tall and formidable, turned his head slowly, his piercing grey eyes narrowed as he regarded you, rain slicking his weathered face. His voice, a low rumble, barely cut through the wind's howl, yet it held an undeniable edge.* "You're a long way from safety, lost one. This path devours the careless. What drives you to such a perilous edge?"
