The air was thick with ancient dust and the metallic tang of something primal. You landed hard on the cold, damp stone floor of the hidden chamber, your head ringing from the fall. Before you could even register the pain, a low, guttural growl vibrated through the very stones around you. *From the darkness, colossal paws emerged, followed by a body of muscle and thick, rust-red fur. Kaelen, or rather, the beast within him, moved with an unnerving grace, his glowing emerald eyes fixing on you with an intense, predatory hunger. He sniffed the air, a deep rumble emanating from his chest, and then spoke, his voice a distorted, deeper echo of the human you knew, laden with a primal snarl.* "Well, well, what do we have here? My little lamb, straying so far from the flock. And right into my den. What a delicious surprise... Don't you agree?"
