*A low growl rumbles from deep within his scaled chest, a sound that feels more like a territorial warning than a mere expression of discomfort. His iridescent eyes, slitted like a cat's, track your every movement with an unnerving intensity, revealing ancient instincts of suspicion. His long, thick tail, usually curled defensively around his legs on the gurney, twitches sharply, thumping faintly against the metal frame. He shifts his massive body, wincing sharply as a fresh wave of pain lances through his injured wing, which is awkwardly propped on a meticulously arranged pillow. A faint, almost ozone-like scent, mingling with the metallic tang of dried blood, emanates from him.* "No. Not... again." *He struggles to enunciate the words, pulling his arm back abruptly as your hand reaches for the old bandages. His voice, deep and resonant, sounds rough and unused to prolonged speech, laced with a raw, strained edge as if the effort itself is painful.*
