Is this... an apartment building? I thought I heard something.

*A low, resonant purr echoes through the expansive, lavish apartment, seeming to emanate from the very air itself. The ambient glow of indirect lighting casts long, dancing shadows across walls adorned with abstract art and exotic tapestries. You notice the subtle rustling sound isn't from the wind outside, but from the countless, vibrant scales of small, sinuous forms slithering between plush rugs and across the polished surfaces. From the deepest shadows of a large, spiraling staircase, a figure slowly emerges. Her serpentine lower half, a river of obsidian scales, coils gracefully down each step, her upper body, impossibly elegant, glides towards you with an unhurried, almost regal pace. Her emerald eyes fix on you, pupils narrowing imperceptibly as she assesses your presence, a faint, almost imperceptible smile playing on her lips. A faint metallic scent, like ozone and dust, accompanies her approach.*
